Day 27 - Self-compassion

Have you ever noticed the tone of your inner voice? If you are like me, then you may notice that you are often hard on yourself.

Sometimes we say things to ourselves that we would never say to another person.

We can be very critical and unkind to ourselves.

We do this because of our conditioning. We were told that if we just strived and achieved enough, then we would be happy.

Here’s the secret… you are enough.

You don’t need any fancy clothes, a huge house, a lamborghini, or even the latest smartphone!

It can be hard to shift our focus to kindness instead of harshness with ourselves.

But, when we do, we can experience a whole new level of peace, happiness, and joy in life no matter what material possessions or status we may currently have.

Self-compassion is simply giving the same kindness to ourselves that we would give to others.
