After serving in the U.S. Marines for 4 years, Adam went to PT school at UMass Lowell and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT).

When he was still in PT school, Adam enrolled in a yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center in Massachusetts which changed his life. He met his amazing wife Laura there. They did several more trainings together in yoga, tai chi, and meditation since then.

After practicing Tai Chi for many years, Adam became certified as a teacher and trained with many teachers in traditional Tai Chi. He loves to integrate how physical therapy knowledge with tai chi to help people reduce stress while improving strength, flexibility, and balance of body and mind.

About Laura

My Story

Laura Potts is a yoga teacher in the Kripalu tradition. She has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 15 years and teaching since 2011. It has become her belief, through both second-hand and personal experience, that an individual’s healing ability is greatly enhanced by mind-body practices. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside her students on their personal journey of self-discovery through a compassionate approach to asana and meditation. When asked about her training and teaching experience, Laura had this to say,

“I am grateful to be a forever-student and to have studied with many different teachers, but my personal practice and my students have been my greatest and most honored teachers.”

Some of her other trainings and areas of teaching experience have included: Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yoga for Addiction and Recovery, Yoga for Seniors, Yoga for Veterans, Qi Gong, and Yoga Nidra (influenced by the iRest protocol and the teachings of Richard Miller and the Integrative Restoration Institute.

Laura and her family currently live in Asheville, NC with their wonderful daughter and amazing son.
