Day 13 - Relaxation of Body and Mind

One of the beautiful things about tai chi is that it can help relax your mind and your body. In fact, the two are so interconnected that one usually affects the other!

When we practice tai chi in this flowing format, we are able to let go of the worries of the day.

We can come into the present moment.

This activates the relaxation response which is a state when our blood pressure lowers, our muscles relax, our breathing deepens, and our heart rate slows down.

In tai chi we say that “softness overcomes hardness.”

Learning how to soften allows us to acquire the ability to store energy and only use what is needed.

You might even find you have more energy to do the things you love in life!
